I was able to try their face mask, facial wash and lightening body soap and here are my thoughts:

Deep Pore Cleanser & Skin Brightener, Anti Acne Facial Wash.

I love this facial wash because it is mild on the skin. It gently cleanses the skin without stripping off the skin’s natural moisture. My skin feels soft and squeaky clean after every wash. It contains Kaolin which removes dirt and purifies the pores and also it has snail serum which is a known anti-aging component.

After a week of usage, my skin looks supple, brighter and smoother. I also noticed slight lightening of my pimple marks.

Ultra Lightening Soap.

This soap contains Très Blance which is known to promote even and brighter skin, glutathione which helps whiten the skin, snail serum a potent anti aging ingredient that promotes skin healing and poper moisture. It also contains natural bioactive ingredients – Aloe, Broccoli and Citrus that provides a skin barrier against pollution.

What I love about this soap is that it is nondrying and irritating. I noticed that my skin became even, smooth and a lot brighter after every wash. I also love the scent too.

Coenzyme Q 10 Anti-aging & Age-defying Mask.

A mask that provides optimum glow, even toned and youthful skin. It contains active ingredients that visibly reduces fine lines, dark spots caused by sun damage and pollution.

The mask is soaked with amber-colored serum that has a strong astringent like scent that is tolerable. Once I put on the mask, it does not cause any stinging sensation or irritation. I let it stayed for 20 minutes to maximized the potent ingredients and let it take effect on my skin. I noticed that after used, my skin is feels more supple and it has a certain glow.

Lifestyle: My Recent Beauty and Fashion Haul

Today I will be sharing with recent beauty and fashion haul. This is my first time to do a haul post. Disclaimer: I am not doing this post to brag but to share the products that I love so let’s begin. 🙂

Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream_EX.

I got this from the Christmas sampling of Sampleroom PH. Hands down to this cream because it does its job well. It really moisturized my skin. The packaging comes in a cute tin can with 60 pieces small blisters which can last up to two months.

I also got this from Sampleroom PH. The dermax sunscreen is like water when applied to skin. It easily absorbed and non-drying. VMV id Monolaurin gel is my holy grail anti-acne gel as it dried my pimples overnight. When I want to sport a no lipstick kinda look I just grabbed this lip balm. It creates a natural pinkish color on the lips. Very moisturizing too.

I renewed my Sampleroom PH VIP membership because of this. 🙂 I really want to try these make-up from Happy Skin Cosmetics because of 3 reasons: it is a Filipino brand, it has wide array of products and it has no parabens.

I love the new formulation of Pantene Hair Fall Control line. It has a milder formula. The scent is not over powering and it lingers. The Pantene 3 Minute Hair Fall Conditioner is the bomb as it really conditioned my hair and tamed my frizzy hair. However it has a downside, prolonged use made my hair heavy and limp (maybe due the high silicone content). I love Cream Silk stand out straight because it really made my hair straight and frizz-free.

I am looking for a nice beauty center that offers a good waxing service. I am excited to try their service.

Experience Luxurious Feast this Chinese New Year at Oriental Palace

The Philippines’ population consists of almost 4 million Tsinoys (Filipino-Chinese) which makes Chinese New Year as one of the most celebrated occasions.

I described Chinese New Year celebration here in the Philippines as colorful, festive and fun. Red is the primary color that you will see on the streets as it connotes good luck and prosperity. The highlight of the celebration would be the dragon and lion dance which believed to cast away bad luck. My favorite part of the celebration is no other than — food (giggles). Chinese people served luscious meal on their table which they believed to bring good fortune. Some basic staples were sticky rice, whole fish and roasted chicken.

Today I will be reviewing a restaurant that is perfect to dine with your family this coming Chinese New Year.

Last January 22, 2016, I was invited by Oriental Palace as they reveal their lucky dishes for 2016. Oriental Palace is not a noob in the restaurant industry. They started in the restaurant business in 1978. Owned by Chua family, the restaurant traces its roots to Wah Yuen (Chinese Garden) a small noodle and dim sum shop across the Love Bus in Escolta.

It may look small outside but the place can accommodate up to 800 persons. They have different function halls and rooms as well as hot pot area which is soon to open 24/7.

The owner is very hands-on in the restaurant operation. Mr. Henry Chua, the father of the Operations Manager Mr. Chester Chua, usually wakes up early to buy the freshest ingredients in the market. He wants to make sure that everything is new and fresh to maintain the good standards and authenticity of the recipes.

The dishes that they served was part of their Chinese New Year menu. These dishes were believed to bring abundance, prosperity and good fortune. This was based on the study of Feng Shui Expert Mr. Johnson Chua. This was sponsored by Hennessy V.S.O.P.

I can’t wait to share with you guys the delicious dishes so let’s start. 🙂

Asado and Polo Pao. I love their Polo Pao. It actually tasted like the one in Tim Ho Wan. The crust is crispy yet soft to the bite. The filling is appealing as well.

Steamed Live Rock Lobster with Garlic. I love dishes with garlic flavour. I just love how garlic makes the dishes taste more flavourful. You can tell that the lobster used is indeed fresh. The meat is sweet and tender and when mixed with garlic it creates a savory taste. Thumbs up!

Steamed Live Twin Lapu-Lapu. This dish has a balance of flavour. The fish meat is so tasty and it melts in your mouth.

Whole Suckling Pig. One of their best seller is the whole suckling pig. No wonder why because it really tasted good. Because it is roasted to perfection the skin is super crispy and the meat is juicy.

Whole Sea Cucumber with Australian Abalone. It was my first time to taste sea cucumber and I actually liked it. It was cooked perfectly because it did not taste nor smell fishy. I actually thought it was kare-kare because it kinda tasted like one.

Steamed Crab with Sticky Rice. This is my favorite among the dishes. Fresh crab seasoned with fine spices steamed on top of sticky rice. The sticky rice absorbed the flavour of the crab. I can actually eat the rice on its own.

Fried Juicy Pigeon. The pigeon used in this dish was kinda small but despite of that it tasted good. The meat is chewy and juicy.

Whole Dried Scallop with Sea Moss. The scallops were soft and easy to chew. Combined with the sea moss it creates a burst of unique taste which I love. Another thumbs up!

Fresh Green Mango Shake. I choose this drink because I love green mango. It also acts like a palate cleanser because of its tangy taste.

Over all I will recommend you to try Oriental Palace because they serve great tasting dishes. Price is kinda steep but it is all worth it because all the ingredients used were fresh.
